Dr. Alok Kushwaha, M.D.

Alok Kushwaha, M.D. is a leading expert in adult medicine, rehabilitation and wellness medicine with over two decades of experience in acute hospital medicine,. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine and has held credentials at multiple Texas Health Resources, Methodist, and BaylorScott and White hospitals in the region.

Following residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, Dr. Kushwaha relocated to Fayetteville, NC where he served as lead hospitalist and medical director for the primary hospital system covering a five county area. Dr. Kushwaha became affiliated with the Duke University Medical School Family Medicine residency training program (SRAHEC) as the faculty attending physician for inpatient rotations. He was awarded “Preceptor of the Year” voted by the residents in 2001 and 2002 for both academic years involved
with the residency program and was invited to be the commencement speaker for the 2002 graduating residency class.

Dr. Kushwaha was recruited back to the DFW area in 2003 to start a new hospitalist group here. Since returning to the DFW area, he has continued to be active in promoting patient safety and clinical quality initiatives. He has served as a physician quality champion to the Baylor Healthcare System, co-chaired the Healthcare Quality Committee at Baylor Grapevine for several years, and has served as Chief of Medicine at Methodist Southlake hospital. He has served as Hospitalist Service Line Director for Premier Patient Care ACO. He has also served as Medical Director to several Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care Facilities in the region since 2005.

He is currently expanding his interests in regenerative medication to enhance wound care therapies in the Dallas and Plano region.
